Summer Newman Events offers a variety of packages and a la carte services to meet the needs of our couples. Based in the Noho Arts District in Southern California, we often work in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, but love to travel as well. We’re eager to hear from you, so contact us for an initial consultation.

DAY-OF COORDINATION:

This package is for the couple that has planned most of their wedding, but wants professional hands to look over all the details and make sure their wedding day runs smoothly.

Planning Services

  • Complimentary initial consultation where you share your needs and we provide an overview of all of our services (one hour)
  • Initial meeting to discuss wedding details and budget
  • Vendor referrals
  • Three months before wedding, unlimited professional advice and consultation via email, text and/or phone
  • Three months before wedding, discuss schedule, guest counts, layouts, seating charts and any outstanding details
  • Onsite inspection at both ceremony and reception venues. Create floor plans (up to two and half hours or four hours if venues are not at the same location)
  • Work with band, musicians and/or DJ to establish timing for entrance, first dance, cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss, etc.
  • Work with photographer, videographer, make-up and hair, etc. to establish timeline for day of wedding
  • Develop a detailed timeline/schedule for wedding day (Includes ceremony processional and recessional)
  • Create detailed layout for ceremony, cocktail and reception
  • Distribute client approved timeline/schedule to all vendors one week prior to wedding
  • Review and confirm all vendor orders and quantities on rental items
  • Review and proof BEO (banquet event order) provided by catering
  • Contact vendors for arrivals time, venue’s procedures and times for unloading, set up and tear down
  • Assist officiant and/or coordinate ceremony rehearsal with bridal party and family (one and half hours)
  • Marriage license information

Wedding Day

    • Manage venue staff to ensure correct setup and compliance of floor plan
    • Manage set up of escort/place cards, menus, favors, sign-in book, gifts, etc.
    • Coordination and management of entire wedding day
    • Every wedding includes one assistant (Additional assistants will be required for specific locations, larger weddings and multiple locations)
    • Marriage license

 

 

PARTIAL PLANNING

This package is for the couple that has an idea of the wedding they desire, but still needs professional hands to pull those ideas together and look over all the details to make sure their wedding day runs smoothly.

Planning Services

  • Complimentary initial consultation where you share your needs and we provide an overview of all of our services (one hour)
  • Wedding style/inspiration board (one only)
  • Initial meeting to discuss wedding details, budget, establish wedding style (color, theme and design)
  • Attend menu selection/venue setup meeting with catering company/venue and client
  • Vendor referral and negotiating
  • Unlimited professional advice and consultation via email, text and/or phone
  • Three months before wedding, discuss schedule, guest counts, layouts, seating charts and any outstanding details
  • Onsite inspection at both ceremony and reception venues. Create floor plans (up to three hours or five hours if venues are not at the same location)
  • Assist with the selection of favors
  • Assist with wording and proofing of stationery for save-the-date cards and invitations
  • Assist with licenses, permits and insurances (if necessary)

This package is for the couple that needs help with everything from design, budget, coordination and booking of vendors to day of services to ensure their wedding day runs smoothly.

Planning Services

  • Complimentary initial consultation where you share your needs and we provide an overview of all of our services (one hour)
  • Wedding style/inspiration boards (two only)
  • Initial meeting to discuss wedding details, budget, establish wedding style (color, theme and design)
  • Create budget with couple and help couple maintain budgetary goals
  • Attend menu selection/venue setup meeting with catering company/venue and client
  • Vendor referral and negotiating
  • Unlimited professional advice and consultation via email, text and/or phone
  • Three months before wedding, discuss schedule, guest counts, layouts, seating charts and any outstanding details
  • Onsite inspection at both ceremony and reception venues. Create floor plans (up to four hours or six hours if venues are not at the same location)
  • Assist with the selection of favors
  • Assist with wording and proofing of stationery for save-the-date cards, invitations and signage
  • Assist with licenses, permits and insurances (if necessary)
  • Set up and attend meetings with vendors based on client’s needs: five meetings for each of the following categories (photography, videography, stationer, lighting, custom wedding cakes/baker)
  • Set up and attend meetings with florists and attend any follow up meetings
  • Place orders for any rental items (chairs, linens, draping, lounge furniture, dance floor, specialized china, glassware, flatware, trees, props, etc)
  • Research hotel accommodations and group room blocks
  • Plan and/or assist with rehearsal dinner
  • Provide referrals for gown boutiques (custom and retail), officiants, transportation, hair and makeup, tuxedos, etc.
  • Assist with orders for wedding invites, cake, tuxedo rentals, rental equipment, transportation, bridal registry, hairstylist, makeup artist, and manicurist, provide sources for bridal party attire
